About

Built for one contractor first.

Not designed in a conference room, not researched from a market report. It started because a working exterior contractor needed something specific, and the software that existed did not do it.

It started with a quote widget

A siding, window, and roofing contractor wanted homeowners to get a real price on their website instead of filling in a form and waiting. So that got built: a widget that asks for measurements, applies the contractor's own pricing, and returns a number on the spot.

It works, and it is still running on their site today.

Capturing the lead is the easy half

Getting a real price in front of a homeowner quickly is a solved problem. What happens to that estimate afterwards is not. It lands in whatever field service software the business runs. The invoice ends up in QuickBooks. The photos are on somebody's phone and the conversation is in a text thread. No single screen shows the whole picture.

So the next thing worth building was not another way to capture leads. It was something that could read all of those systems at once and say here is what has stopped moving.

What it does

TradeTendr connects to QuickBooks and to whatever field service software a contractor already runs, keeps a current view of both, and flags the estimates that have gone quiet so they can be chased. Nothing has to be switched to start, because contractors have already been through enough migrations. QuickBooks in particular we only ever read from, and that is not going to change.

The measure we care about is simple: it should surface work that would otherwise have been forgotten, and it should be obvious quickly whether it did.

Where it is now

Private beta, working with a small number of exterior contractors. It is free during the beta, and there is no billing built, so there is no way to charge anyone. Everything on this site describes what the software does today, not what is planned.

If you run siding, windows, or roofing and estimates are getting away from you, get in touch. You will hear back from the person who builds it.
